Change Management Training Syllabus

HiLogic’s APMG accredited training syllabus is aligned to the Change Management Institute’s: Change Management Body of Knowledge commonly referred to as the CMBOK. The Foundation training program consists of 4 key syllabus areas:

  • Change and the individual
  • Change and the organization
  • Communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Change management practices

Throughout these 4 syllabus areas we explore key principles, commonly accepted practices and models, as well as key roles to support change at the individual, team and organisational wide levels.

The Practitioner program will explore in further detail practices to support learning, sustaining change and the use of project, programme or portfolio management frameworks to support organisational change governance. This program is also designed to provide a recap on the 4 syllabus areas with attention on preparing participants for Practitioner certification.

Our classroom APMG Change Management certification courses include:

  • 3 day Change Management Foundation Course (inclusive of Foundation certification exam)
  • 1.5 day Change Management Practitioner Course (inclusive of Practitioner certification exam)

Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam and certification

The Foundation exam is a 40-minute multiple-choice exam with 50 questions. To attain the Foundation certification a pass mark of 50% is required. The Practitioner exam is a 2.5-hour objective style exam with 4 questions. A pass mark of 50% from a total of 80 marks is required to attain the APMG Practitioner certification. Passing the Foundation exam is a pre-requisite to completing the Practitioner exam.

For in-person training the Foundation exam is completed at the end of the Foundation course and the Practitioner exam is completed at the end of the Practitioner course.

For online classroom or self-paced online training, exams are completed online post-training. Training participants will be able to select from a listing of available dates and times to complete their exam.
