Prince2 Practitioner

Course Aim

To complete the Practitioner certification delegates must complete the Foundation course and pass the Foundation exam plus attend the 2 day Practitioner program. This 2 day course with exam aims to:

  • Develop the participant’s ability to apply PRINCE2 in different project environments and adapt PRINCE2 under specific project scenarios
  • Prepare participants for the 2.5 hour PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.

The program comprises of a series of project scenarios and situations to assist delegates to refine their application skills. The program will:

  • Improve participant's understanding of Project Assurance
  • Differentiate the responsibilities of Business, User and Supplier Assurance
  • Provide detailed Configuration Management and Change Control scenarios
  • Test the participants ability to adapt the PRINCE2 Project Organization model
  • Revise the finer rules of the Product Based Planning Technique
  • Test the applicants ability to review and advise on the appropriate elements of a project Business Case, project plans and strategies for given scenarios
  • Assess the participants ability to correctly apply PRINCE2's Risk Management approach to a given scenario
  • Review the ability of delegates to appropriately construct Project Controls namely tolerances, change control, change budgets, quality controls, stage boundaries and reporting and monitoring mechanisms
  • Ensure delegates can distinguish the major controls for the Project Manager and Senior Management and appreciate the principle 'manage by exception'.
