PRINCE2 Foundation

This is a 3 day course explaining how the PRINCE2 Model operates and concludes with the 1 hour 75 question multiple choice exam. The course will describe the principles, processes and management themes PRINCE2 is based on through presentation, exercises and quizzes.

Course Aim

To develop the participant’s understanding of the structure of the PRINCE2 project management method and the underlining principles supporting its application. At the completion of the course participants will:

  • Understand the importance of the Business Case and its management throughout the life of a project
  • Know how to adapt PRINCE2's Project Organization model for small and large projects
  • Be familiar with and competent in applying Change Control and Configuration Management
  • Be aware of the different approaches for Planning and management of Plans
  • Acquire skills to apply PRINCE2's Product Based Planning technique
  • Apply a best practice approach for the management of risks
  • Understand how to skillfully apply quality techniques and controls in a project environment
  • Establish suitable project controls for tracking project progress and management of issues
  • Understand how the 7 PRINCE2 control processes, management themes and principles are applied.
  • How to scale the PRINCE2 project management method

A unique element of Hilogic's PRINCE2 Foundation course is that we integrate many elements of the 2 day PRINCE2 Practitioner syllabus. The Foundation course is 40% exercise based uniquely incorporating participant 'real life' projects, ensuring participants maximise their learnings and understand how to apply PRINCE2 in their own business environment.
